Chè is a traditional Vietnamese dessert, often served as a sweet soup or pudding, made with a variety of ingredients like beans, coconut milk, and fruit.

Chè Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mung beans (or red beans)

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup pandan leaves (optional, for flavor)

  • Ice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beans:

    • Rinse the mung beans or red beans and cook them in a pot of water until soft, about 20-30 minutes. Drain.

  2. Make the Sweet Soup:

    • In a saucepan, mix the cooked beans, sugar, coconut milk, and water. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

  3. Serve:

    • Serve warm or chilled over ice, garnished with pandan leaves if desired.
